How to become a successful entrepreneur - 6 mantras that can help you on your journey

If you want to be a successful entrepreneur, it's important to be curious and observant. Look for opportunities in the market, and then pounce on them. Be bold and take risks. But most importantly, don't be afraid to fail. Because without failure, there can be no success. So go out there and find your opportunity!

Here are my personal 6 favorite things to practice and a mantra for each of them that can help you achieve your goals.

#1 - I’m curious about the world, the people and I take the time to observe what is happening around me

There's a lot more to living life than scrolling through social media and sitting on the couch. If you're not curious about the political dynamics, following the money, and creating trends that define our world, how are you ever going to be able to find a solution product? Take some time to observe: every city is full of opportunities ready and waiting for those who want to explore them. Who knows what discoveries or new ideas could come out of such an endeavour?

#2 - I try new things and I get out of my comfort zone

If life were a bowl of cereal, why limit yourself to the same flavor day after day? It's liberating to stretch your wings and try something different. Sure, it can be intimidating and uncomfortable, but you never know what you'll end up liking or disliking until you give it a whirl! Nowadays there are infinite possibilities - so explore fearlessly! Who knows - you may just surprise yourself.

#3 - I’m never afraid to ask questions to anyone

Asking questions isn't just for those who don't know the answer, it's an opportunity to identify problems and brainstorm solutions. Questioning yourself is one thing, but if you really want to make an impact ask questions of others – anything from 'What do you think?' to 'What if?' As with all things in life, problems are solved by asking better questions. So be bold and use your sarcastic wit when posing questions that challenge the status quo. It's only then that you'll unearth creative problems and ideas worth exploring further - they could even define the future.

#4 - I’m open minded to different opinions and perspectives

Being open-minded is the key to living a fulfilling life, and I'm not just talking about having to put up with your neighbor's questionable sense of fashion. It's incredibly important to understand that different people have different values and experiences - meaning that not only do they think differently, but they have also formed their opinions based on what they personally believe to be true. The great thing is that this means you get to learn more than one way of seeing things, so don't be afraid to entertain new points of view - it might just make you a better person.

#5 - I always take the time to listen to people and i’m invested in every conversation

Listening is a sorely underrated activity these days. People seem to think that communication is all about getting your point across, no matter what it takes. In reality, the greatest show of intelligence and respect is the ability to listen intently and actively. Listening more than you talk (and actually paying attention!) can help open up lines of communication that prove invaluable in all aspects of life, from forming relationships to solving problems. So let's stop talking over each other and start listening to each other! After all, it's not just what we say but how we listen that matters.

#6 - I’m eager to learn new things / I’m eager to learn new things outside of my comfort zone

If you're the type of person who loves a challenge and loves to learn, there is no greater way to exercise both than continuing to learn outside of your comfort zone. Take risks, explore the unknown, and push yourself! Who knows what amazing opportunities await you if you do? Of course, it's not always easy going beyond what we already know and understand. But in the end, it's never regretful as you will get out of it far more than if you just stuck inside your safe little bubble. So embrace progress by continually learning new things - even when it's uncomfortable!

If you want to be a better version of yourself, have better chances to be successful by being an interesting person that people enjoy talking to, incorporate these habits to your lifestyle! None of these things are easy. They're actually quite difficult, especially if they don't come naturally to you. But that's okay! Nothing worth having is ever easy. So keep at it, and pretty soon you'll find yourself being the curious, open-minded individual that you always wanted to be. And you’ll have all more tools to achieve your goals and find new opportunities.
